good HID brand recommendations? Update: Burban HIDS EXPLODED!!!!!! pics pg;5-6

this thread used to be fpr my 90' Benz 560SEL! but i just recently bought them for my 96 Burban and now ive had it with DDM Tuning!!! hate them!! they never send u instructions! they sent me 2 separate packages for "faster shipping" and took them for ever as usual! and the packaging was horrible with a broken piece of styrafoam in it and a bunch of little pieces of bubble wrap. in a crushed damaged box! after all of this i got to installing! which was a pain in the ass cuz obviously NO INSTRUCTIONS! so i did the obvious of connecting OEM connector to the Error Eliminator box, then to the Ballast and then to the bulb. i wired it all up and got installed in the car. i turned it on, and no light so i go up to it and start knocking on the lenz to c if it was just connection and them BANG!!! an explosion!! just like a gun shot!! leaving me temporary deaf. and binch of smoke! i tell my friend Justin bout what just happened. and out of no where he appeared! we start lookin at what just happened! to find out the DAMN ERROR ELIMINATOR EXPLODED THE EFFFFF UP!!! no idea y. tried the bulb without the eliminator and still didnt work. so i demand a refund from DDM TUNING and still awaiting reply!

what brand should i get now that i am never gettting them AGAIN!!! please help!!!

IMO i wouldnt go for the notto SE kits.. overpriced and not even that bright. the 10ks werent even as blue as 10ks should be. i would go with DDM. Cheaper and an overall better quality, output etc HID set.

Ddm kits are cheap yet reliable. I've had mine in for 3 years and I've never had any issues- not even a bulb.

Can someone help me with the harness and adapters parts that I need for my car..cuz idk what I'm lookin for. All I know is the it's a hi/lo and want 55W and want them to b white so that would b 5000k right? What do I do for harness? For my Benz?

Hi-los come with a relay harness already. 5000 is white though yes

but doesn't 55W usually bleach the color out a little bit? I have 5k 35W from HIDextra and yeah, they are quite blue still.

EDIT: Just snagged this from DDM

55w kits tend to wash out some of the color of the HID bulb due to the light output( for example, a 55w 8000k will look similar in color to a 35w 6000k kit).
