I just recieved a Disorderly Conduct ticket in MInnesota. I am a Minor. Any ideas on what happens next or what to do . I cant tell my parents or i will lose everything. My plan is to go down to the courts tomorrow to try and pay it, but i bet i have court. So im Screwed. Any ideas?

i only got the pink copy of the ticket. Said the rest will come in the mail( oh goodie) and he said yes its free speech but not when it is offensive to others or something like that . I can't remember he threw me in his car and lectured me.

The said thing about charges like this, it's up to the officers discretion/judgement....very rarely does a judge go against that. But i'm not convinced on the charge though, I'd fight it.

You may not have a choice. And they may respect you for handling it, and standing up for your constitutional rights. Explain to them why you said "fuck 5-0", hope you have a good reason.

that will be my next question. I dont have a good reason. I don't know why. My parents wont care that i stood up or paid for it myself. They will only punish me more for "trying to cover it up" .

Dude, let this be a life lesson and growing pain. Suck it up, man up and go tell your parents what's up. Take your lumps, I promise you after they finish beating the crap outta you and taking away ever material possession you've ever dreamed of, they'll respect you for not trying to be sneaky and cover it up.

Seriously though, man up and go tell them. You made a mistake, but trying to cover it up and be sneaky about it is only gonna make it worse!

They're gonna be disappointed bro but take it like a man and dont dig yourself a deeper hole. Once they're over the initial emotion about it they will realize that you did the right thing by coming to them and owning up to it instead of what most other kids will do and try to hide it and only fess up when its clear they cant hide it anymore. There's no honor in that. You will get points for this, trust me. Good luck man, hope its not as bad as u think.

Its called integrity....doing the right thing cause you know its the right thing. You don't need anybodys cosign for that, not even your parents. I see where you're coming from and hopefully they acknowledge that, but if they don't then just know that YOU know you did the right thing.
