Yes, verified possible area of turbulence with a smoke machine and air nozzle, it most likely hurt my score by .5 - 1 db. So a lot of areas of improvement has went into the design and building of this wall. Yes and it has been done So on page 19, you basically just did that to the inside of the box to get the "frictionless" finish Yes, there is a few extra steps prior to paint that I did but paint steps were the same as listed on page 19 except glaze pro buffing step wasn't done because it wasn't needed as I didn't have to wet sand that much, just had to block out dust in the clear in a few spots. And at this point I just keep adding coats of wax to make it smoother and smoother inside the port area. AMI CUSTOMS Posted September 8, 2012 Author Report Posted September 8, 2012 Update 9/7/12 Got the steel I needed yesterday, this is what I am working with for the front baffle, got the second layer of mdf cut as well. Got a plate just big enough to add strength where it is needed. Going to cut it out in a few days with a friends plasma cutter. 1/4 thick steel Here is my brace bars that will be welded to the plate and then bolted to back wall of shell. Solid steel. 1 inch thick, these will be cut to length and welded to some 3 inch diameter round 1/4 plates and bolted to back of shell. Some of the lags and machine bolts that will be used to bolt this all in place once welding is complete. Lags are 1/4 shank grade 5 and machine screws are 1/4 inch shank zinc coated steel.
