woodzyspl
id say 2 ddz 12's > 1 dd95 18 or 2 fi n3 12's > 1 n2 18" (n3 to n2 as alot more motor lol) or something like that lol EDIT: so if we take say 2 low end 12's rated at say 500rms each, put 1k to them, vs a single 18 on 1k and put 1k to it, the 12's haveing say 20% more motor frouce as apposed to the 18 20% more cone area (am i doing math right? LOL fuck this shit..) who is louder lol Edited February 14, 2012 by woodzyspl Quote AUSTRALIA do i need say more? SlamminBeats
magnet weight doesnt equate to a linear motor strength increase as you are suggesting. so should i just the 1 18 for now? you think ill get more output then my current 15s? Watch the bass
Motor force vs Cone area, shitload of variables, but 1 thing that matters alot is power. fully powered 18 cone area > motor force half power 12s. also ideal box etc..... so whats the power and subs !? DD 9500s 2k to start, eventually 4k Sensitivity for the DD 9500 G 12´s is 89dB/1 watt, the 18´s is 92dB/1 watt, that´s 3 dB close. If you have a look at the Sundown NS v2 series, there is the 12 85,15dB/1 watt the 18 89,86 dB/1 watt that´s a diffrence of 4,71 dB The AA Mayhem´s have @ the 12´s 90,4 dB/1 watt the 18´s 94,8 dB/1 watt, diffrence 4,4 dB The FI BTL N2 the 12´s 89,4 dB/1 watt the 18´s is 93,8 dB/1 watt, 4,4 dB diffrence as well. It could be possible to get the 2 DD 12´s louder than the 18 on the same amppower, for a TL messurement not for the ear. It´s up to you and your wallet 2 DD 12´s maby in the next time one more amp. I think safe the money for a proper amp and electrical and get a 18 AA Mayhem. SlamminBeats
Yea id be chocking the 15s and my wallet 2 12s seems to be less loud because of cone area And I can always add another 18 in a bigger vehicle It would suck though if i end up getting a smaller vehicle... DD9518h sc it is then.
