Can'y get my 2 amps and 2 subs to hit similar

Recommended Posts

I have two Power Acoustik bamf 4000/1Ds hooked up to two Power Acoustik 12" mofos, I put the two rcas into the first amps input L channel and R channel and have the switch to master. I then ran a single rca cable from the master out with a rca (splitter or Y) to the slave in and also tried the input L channel R channel. I tinkered with the phase and and all the other settings but can't get both subs to hit the same. Any suggestions on a way to setup each amp up or both the same way.

And also with this amp being mono should I hook both positives to my postive box terminals and both negatives to my negative box terminals or is it recomended I hook it up another way? thanks for your time.

that master out isnt a daisy chain. its a way to set the amp if you strap two identical amps together. look at the instructions on strapping amps in your manual.

If I answered you in a well mannered, informative way, you asked a good question or had a good attitude. If I was an asshole, you asked a stupid question or you had a fucktard attitude... or I was in a bad mood.

Keep your RCA from MASTER OUT (single RCA) to SLAVE IN (Single RCA)

  • Connect ALL negative speaker outs from both amps to each other (meaning negatives from Master to negatives of Slave)

  • Connect BOTH positive wires from the Master amp to Box(Speaker) +
  • Set Phase on Master Amp to 0
  • Set Master Amp switch to MASTER

  • Connect BOTH positive wires from the Slave amp to Box(Speaker) -
  • Set Phase on Slave Amp to 180
  • Set Slave Amp switch to Slave

  • Set your gains/LPF/Subsonic Filter/Bass EQ same on both Amps.

when strapping like this, none of the settings on the slave amp should do anything. i never heard of setting the slave's phase 180* out. did you copy that from the manual for his amp?

Not a direct cut and paste, but looked at the diagram and suggestions from the manual. Though the manual doesnt say anything about the LPF/EQ/Subsonic setting them the same surely won't hurt anything.
