I have a dodge caliber so theres plenty of room. would like to have the sub on one end and the port on the other. example box is 11" deep, 11" tall and 32" wide. want the sub on the 11" x 11" side and the port on the other 11" x 11" side. this way I can put groceries on the top and back of the box without affecting the speaker or port. max width is 34" thank you. Joe X Posted February 14, 2012 Report Posted February 14, 2012 Ok so here is a design suggestion for the DCL2 8" port/sub same face and around your dims: Enclosure Specifications: Fb = 36.096 Hz Vb = 0.91 ft^3 Subwoofer Mounting = Front Mounted External Height = 13 in External Width = 22 in External Depth = 11 in Port Width = 1 3/8 in Cut List: * All Dimensions in Inches. * Wood Thickness is 3/4 for all Parts. External Enclosure Parts: Front & Back = 13 x 11 Left & Right Sides = 20 1/2 x 9 1/2 Top & Bottom = 13 x 20 1/2 L Port Internal Assembly Parts: Front to Back = 19 1/8 x 9 1/2 Extension = 4 x 9 1/2 Let me know any comments/questions.

Joe X Posted February 15, 2012 Report Posted February 15, 2012 Placing the sub and the port on opposite sides will lead to bad results. you can place this box with sub/port facing fowrard or in any case upwards, best configuration in most cases is port/sub on the same face. I did read your request before.
