AB18VFL
i really don't know which one to use for my subwoofer amp. I've tried all of them, but with each different one, the gain seeting is different. I mainly listen to metal or dubstep. I want my system to be as loud as possible without distortion, but im pretty sure the music i listen to is the same dB as the track that says "for a louder system, use track..." AB18VFL
i did...many times. i wouldnt come here trying to waste anybodys time by not reading the manual first. One of the tracks says "use for a louder system", the other says "use for a compromise" or "use for sound quality". The sound quality track isnt nearly loud enough for my likings, the "compromise" is alright, but i feel like my amp isnt pushing the subs to thier fullest potential, and i'm afraid the "loud system" track is giving too much distortion to my everyday listening music. Decaf
use track 3(-5dB/sq) or 5(-10dB/compromise) for sub amp, if you don't listen to bass heavy music(which you do) you can use track 7(-15dB/loudest) if you are setting the amp with track 3 or 5 you are getting max CLEAN power out of the amp, simple as that. you either need a more powerful amp or subs that work better with the current amp you are using what amp/subs do you have? Looking at your sig you do not have enough electrical for 4k+ watts. I have about the same for 1500 watts..... just my choice. Add a battery or two. If you're dropping into 12s or 11s with bass its definitely losing a lot of power and would not seem as loud. But, i think 220 is a bit overkill for 1500. That's much better than not enough though Does your voltage drop at all? Robert8252
I have a dc power 270xp, XS power d3400 and shuriken bt-35. Zero voltage drop. But when I was running 3k+ I did have some. It would drop to high 13s. And that was with a clamped 1,100 watts I think. Plus mids and highs. I'm not saying he needs to go crazy still but I would definitely add another big battery to his setup. And if he's getting a smell it sounds like he's dropping low to 12s or 11s which will cause clipping and destroy subwoofers.
