412 CVX Posted February 21, 2012 Report Share Posted February 21, 2012 title says it all. this is my $50 dorm system... couple of insignia 6.5" bookshelf speakers. i bought these half off for $50 because i was an employee at best buy. i gotta say it was well worth the investment. i'm pretty surprised at how these sound considering they're one of BBY's house brands. i've got an old JVC RX-778V home theater receiver that rescued from my parents' basement. got a bunch of features i never use lol. this system almost got me evicted last semester lol (oops). i'm surrounded by concrete walls and a heavy metal door and i can hear the lyrics to the song playing clearly 100 feet down the hallway with the door closed. i don't even have a sub, and the girl below me keeps bitching about her vent vibrating from the music. apparently her neighbors can hear it too. anyways, here's a little excursion video. let's see what you got!
