4 type r 12s

Recommended Posts

yea they should be able to take that 6k daily I know each one can be ran at around 1k-1.2k and with that amount of power and subs its gonna be hard to reduce rattle man haha

NO NO NO. you can not run Alpine type R at 1-1.2k daily. and how does that add up with 4 of them to 6 k. they would each be getting 1500rms if the lanzar amp actually did 6krms. i wouldnt put over 800 ot a type r daily. a burp is different. daily those type rs will burn up and youll wonder why. do not put more than 800rms daily. maybe you can get away with just under 1 k but no more than 1k a piece. 2nd, get a good amp. Lanzar? if you want results of that video you posted OP, your gunna have to use a sub on the same level as an Fi woofer and an amp that can push clean rated power. I have personally run alpines in the past on a budget buidl. so if your trying to go cheap hit me up. just please dont put a type r on over 1k dailyy

I can second that! I ran a type r 12 daily on 1k and i blew a couple of them. Like he said above, 800 should be the highest you should go.

At the moment I have 2 type r 12s in a box designed by ram-designs. I'm giving each sub 500 watts with a kicker dx1000.1. Its the loudest system I've had in my car. As long as you have a good box, it'll be loud.

Audioque subs are good for the price and can each take 2k rms daily. and when budget amps come to mind i htink of Audiopipe 3000d, Hifonics BRZ line is ok according to some. Audio que amps are also my favorite choice if on budget. but they a tad more excpensive but are the best for price if going cheap IMO

well i was going to get the aq 12s before but didnt have the money for it so never did it, well since they can take 2k daily than i might as well add more power, to 8k than, i know it may sound like shit but i'm trying to get loud with enough space, and i'm 17 so.... and it's kind of money isnt an issue but at the same time it is, because i'm not trying to spend over a grand or 2 on a amp because of the name, and can get another reasonable price one for just as good.

if your not trying to spend over a grand or 2 dont put an 8k amp in. You do realize when you put pretty much anything over 1500rms in a car electrical upgrades are a must. if you buy an alternator and batteries 0 gauge, that alone will run you 1k not to mention you still have to buy all of your equipment. Stick to alpine type r 12s and put them on 3k . that should put you somewhere around 1500-2k in price. i think? haha 8k on 2000$ goodluck!

i mean if it's something i really want and need, than i'll spend the money for it, i was just saying paying price differences only because of the brand, and i was also looking into sa-12s, basically my plan is to be hitting atleast 150 db daily....and as for the lanzar, i was pretty amazed with watching this video, and i said 8k since they took 2k each, but i'll just stick with 6k since dealing with the room, and size of amp(s)
