Hunters21w
Hey I've been setting gains quite nicely with the dd-1 but I have a question. If you set the gain on your master amp and it doesn't distort, then throw in a slave after its already been set, do you need to re tune the gain on the master? Let me know, thanks! Decaf
Although you are using solely the master gain, strapping utilizes the voltage/amperage of both amps combined so u need to test the output of both combined
Hunters21w
Will do! Hunters21w
So I reset it, tuned it to track 3 and it's still running warmer than I'd like. 3 is considered the safest right? My voltage is mid to high 12s so it's not bad. Decaf
how warm is warm, do u have an infrared? -5dB is the first option for music, 0dB technically would be the safest but also the quietest... only test tones for burping are that loud
Hunters21w
No infrared but enough to smell them. Tuning as of now is 27, think tuning higher may help? I have been playing low music on purpose so that I do not play too high above tuning but even then it's still warm. I'm going to cut ports next but other than that I'm unsure as to why they're running warm. SnowDrifter
How many subs to each pair of 3500s? What nominal ohm load are you at? Edit: Are you checking voltage at the battery or amp?
