I got tired of reading, but did you ever fix that belt wrap from the dual alt bracket? having and alt with only about 30 degrees of wrap is like not having and alt at all..

Kinda sucks about only gaining .2db from doubling your cone area and power, adding more batteries, and even going from a c pillar flat wall to a 4th order bandpass.

But honestly your not going to gain much more, unless you can massively increase your box size!!!

Currently you do not have no where enough room for 4 18s, let alone in a bandpass.

Hard to tell, but it only looks like your at a 1:1 to 1:1.5 ratio, you will want to get that to 1:2.5 or 1:3

Also a wise idea would be dropping down in size and recone into 15s (which sucks because your woofers are pretty new and in great condition).

All news you probably dont want to hear unfortunnitly, but its not the first time its happened to people. Yuey also had a similar problem with his 6th order and went from 18s to 15s, and his toyota 4runner is straight nasty loud!

I have a friend (scottyboland on youtube) that has 3 Fi SP4 15s in a c-pillar wall of a Oldsmobile bravada on a pair of sundown 4500s, four 6inch areo ports, and he does a high 154 -155db with all windows/doors closed (termlab sensor on the dash db drag legal).

I also seen you said that you dont like the lower freq much since you dont listen to anything that low. You could also try chopping some port length off since it looks like its removable. Hell, pull the port out all together and meter it. Shorter port will raise tuning, which should also raise your termlab scores.

And if your dead set on tearing it apart and rebuilding again, try messing with your port opening before gutting it out.

Try to increase your square inches of port a little.

Trial and error, test and tune, this way you can get a better idea for your rebuild on how to go with port size and what not.

I myself love the low bass, but everyone dont.

A proper built bandpass will still play lows just fine, without needing to tune to some stupid low number like a ported box to be able to play low.

So right now he is loosing all sorts of efficiency with the current bandpass design, and efficiency is what bandpass is all about.

Lets face it, you dont need 4 beasty ass 18s, and 4 3500wrms amps to do a 153.X db at 30hz in a b-pillar wall.

My one setup in my tahoe would bassrace a 153.X db (which is a 30second average playing music) with only 2 AA Mayhem 18s, and 2 sundown 4500s, and it was done from the cargo area, with only 3 batteries, and 2 high output alts.

I didnt see 150 @11hz. I did see 33hz on the meter. Im sure that song dips to 11hz but its not doing 150's at 11

I am going to play with the port and may make a larger one. I will most likely end up rebuilding to a ported wall with the four 18's. Or i have been thinking of geting six dc audio XL 12's and do a ported wall.

I may never be happy with it.

ya know, never being happy with our system and always wanting more is a typical thing with this hobby

I think adjusting that port and playing with that might be very beneficial before going and tearing it all out. good luck!!

Thats what I like to see. You are unhappy with the results of your box, yet it rips your door latch off literally.

He is unhappy with how low it peaks. We cut NO corners when building this. And based off just the list of equipment we expected at least a 55. In no way shape or form were we expecting it to be heavyweight bassboxing world champion.
