They werent really that bad and they are still running in a new custom box in my brother's jeep. I doubt it, or you'd know its decent budget-level stuff. Sure its not DC/Sundown/Pioneer level stuff, but neither is the price. Its not the greatest available, but if you're on a tight budget, you could do a lot worse. Jensen is poop, JBL Is decent and JVC was never really that good jvcs arsenal HUs are/were great... that's about it. Jensen, nope. JBL.. crown series yup. jensen... crap. I'm running a Jensen Amp. I've had it for 5 years and bought it used for $10. It's been a really good amp up until just recently, when I get a bit of rumbling in the left channel now. That being said, I've owned Sony, Coustic, Alphasonic, and Boss, all new. This Jensen has outlasted all of them and sounded better than 3 of them. Makes me wonder why I bought all those others new. Considering the alternatives for cheapo amps, comparing Sony, Lanzar, Boss, Pyramid, Pyle.... I'd buy a Jensen again over those. Hell, my Jensen even does rated. 2007 Pacifica Rebuild. Less quiet. Still not loud.

Researching saves time.. and money. IF I was on such a tight budget, i'd go audiopipe/lanzar and the like before jensen. They just bring nothing to the table. continue? I ran jensen HU before and it worked great for 2 years. Also had a JBL 300.1 amp which was awesome. Was looking to get 1200.1 version, but didn't find one. Just because someone said that Jensen or JVC is crap doesn't mean it crap. Just like audiopipe is piece of shit brand to me, even thought I never ran it, and heard it from people on here and around competitions.
