IKnowImLost224 Posted February 29, 2012 Report Posted February 29, 2012 Well, I ended up building mine thinking I knew what I was doing by just punching in numbers to Torres to get the right internal volume and tuning frequency. Turns out I didn't know about port area and now the sub sounds like absolute shit. It only hits like one bass note lol. The box is pretty solid as far as how it was made and it looks clean, but looks don't get ya sounds.

RF4LIFE Posted March 4, 2012 Report Posted March 4, 2012 So for the new style RE XXX15, a 5.5ft^3 box is recommended. Now is that with or without the .27ft^3 displacement of the sub itself? And with that would a 176in^2 port area that's 51.36in long @33hz work?
