Purplehaze Posted March 2, 2012 Report Share Posted March 2, 2012 Probably the same. Just gonna take longer to charge your batts. The alt doesn't control the voltage, the pcm does. Why not get a avbm, or a mla? Then you can be at 14+ all day.... It will still put out the 270a, but your PCM reduces the voltage to reduce the load on the vehicle for EPA fuel mileage ratings.
