Duck's Walled Accord - 3/4/14 Nothing to see here, move along, move along

Remember those Liquidtights? Here is what i did to make them really really water proof.

I had to drill out the rubber grommets cause that was all they had at the Napa, and i didn't want to wait for something to ship to me.

Of course the grommets go all the way into the connector, i just wanted to get a shot and not have to try to take them back out. They fit super tight.

It's a pretty tight fit on both side actually. Perfect.

Sorry about the quality, these were taken with my phone.

So, i decided to start the dash. Too cold to paint and I need more 3/4 MDF anyway lol. Besides, I would like somewhere to mount the headunit and stuff when i am done.

Anyway, on to the pics

I will just let the pics speak for themselves. I never know what to type anyway.

Yeah. Used a 1/4" straight bit to free hand the slots, followed it with 45 with a bearing for the vents and a 1/2" roundover for the front.

I also started to make a template for the gauges. This part is going to suck, i have to use the stock gauges so i need to sand and repaint that gauge cluster housing. But anyway this part will take some time because it's a funky angle and stuff

Alright, I started on the bracing for the dash. These pieces are rough cut for now. I have to decide on how the face of the dash will look and then go from there. One thing is for sure the heater controls are going to be moved from the top of the console(factory) to the bottom of the console. I got the hole for the insrument cluster cut out. I need to get some fiberglass and make a new cover for them. Plus a ton of other stuff. Anyway, pics.
