Well, yesterday while climbing in and out of the box and lugging the subs up and holding them while i drilled wile crammed into my tiny car, I must have twisted wrong because my back is out today. Feels like a pinched nerve and I can feel which vertebra is out. Took some tylenol and alieve but it didn't do much for it. I did get some work done but my back is not going to let me do much until it goes back in.

Also, I am running out of supplies like 3/4 mdf and 1/2 mdf and brushes and paint and primer and everything else. So for a week or two I will be just doing odds and ends stuff. By odds and ends I mean starting the amp rack.

Anyway, I have two ideas for the amp rack, one angled and one flat. I am 99% sure i am going with the angled setup just because it will look nicer. Since I am short on MDF i am using OSB for the base and covering it with luan.

Here is the way it would sit flat

And angled

Also started on the template for the floorboard in the hatch.

And put some expanding foam around the top of the wall.

That's all I am doing for today.

Well, I got my but to the garage today and tried to get some stuff done. It's trying to rain now and I have to get dinner started soon. Anyway, did a bit of soldering and worked on the amp rack a bit.

Thanks! The family loves to help. My wife like to play camera man and of course points out when i do something stupid. Plus she is an awesome inspiration and the driving force behind this build. She help me get motivated when I would rather just sit around.

Also, here are some more pics.

The cover and the rack are going to get vinyl treatment. And of course the lid will get a plexi window and the rack needs some LEDs. Hopefully i can get some work done on some trim panels for the sides and finish out the hatch floor and sides. Of course if you have been following you know i have to finish the dash and fix the doors. I also have to find a new relay for my power window or rewire and bypass it.

Thanks for looking!
