going for loud? no.

Tlines sound smooth with a very wide range but are not brute spl boxes. Double the cone with a port will be louder. Like ^^he^^ said you really dont' know unles you do both.

Yea your right about that I'm kind of tight on money right now an was hoping to avoid building 2 boxes. I'm new to car audio that's why I put this post up to get some opinions to lead me in the right path. An yes I em going for loud I have a sealed box right now an was hoping to get louder an I heard ported/band pass boxes get real louder then sealed.

So check this suggestion out, port/subs front firing or rear firing for 2x Alpine Type R 10" will fit most trunk type vehicles:

Enclosure Specifications:

Fb = 34.978 Hz

Vb = 2.502 ft^3

Subwoofer Mounting = Flush Mounted

External Height = 16 in

External Width = 31.25 in

External Depth = 16 in

Port Width = 2 3/4 in

Cut List:

* All Dimensions in Inches.

* Wood Thickness is 3/4 for all Parts.

External Enclosure Parts:

Front = 27 3/4 x 14 1/2

Front Internal = 26 1/4 x 14 1/2

Back = 31 1/4 x 14 1/2

Left & Right Sides:

Side 1 = 14 1/2 x 14 1/2

Side 2 = 15 1/4 x 14 1/2

Top & Bottom = 31 1/4 x 16

L Port Internal Assembly Parts:

Front to Back = 11 3/4 x 14 1/2

Extension = 12 1/2 x 14 1/2

I recommend the use of a double baffle although is probably not really necessary, can be changed to a single baffle.
