no0b4lif3
So if you cant rip songs to that YOU PAID FOR to YOUR computer, how can you put them on an mp3 player.? to me it just seems like another way the government can 'try' to control what we do as individuals. either that, or another way for apple/microsoft to make MORE money (i have nothing against either companies) its still f*cked up IMO
CustomCarputers
if you are ripping the cd's without re-distributing it, it is not illegal. Hmm, not so sure about that. I don't think it's legal to copy MY movies that I bought at the store either.
dwright27
Hmm, not so sure about that. I don't think it's legal to copy MY movies that I bought at the store either. you can do that, and store it as a backup copy no sense is buying another $200 box set of star wars or whatever when you can store it and use it for personal use. movies are like music as long as you dont profit from making it or give copies to friends then its legal. Scapelli21
a friend of mine told me the other day that he had a firend that bought a dvd and tried to play it on his computer but couldnt...so he created a code to read the disc, nuthin else but read the disc to play it and the dvd/movie company sued him for copyright enfringement. so technically, once u buy a cd/dvd, u bought the right to PLAY said item and do nothing else with it. that lady up in in brainerd here lost her court case and i dont see how? it isnt illegal to download songs of the internet for free...its illegal to take a cd, rip it and distribute from there or sell those songs Edited December 12, 2007 by Scapelli21 Quote 2003 Chevy Trailblazer LTZ Pioneer 980BT 16 SA-10's - 4th Order Bandpass NS-1 - 3 D3100's DC & XS Power, Audio Technix, Sound Deadener Showdown Team Sundown Audio
