Dozier
I am planning on building a box for my 2006 XXX's in my Explorer soon and I would like to have some opinions on the box. I am leaning towards a CRX box...Subwoofers firing up and port to the rear, with 6 cu. ft. of space inside before subwoofer displacement, and tuned to 36hz. Is this a good box or what? Any suggestions would be great. Also, where do I start on making my calculations of the box dimensions and port dimensions. I tend to be a little stupid with this stuff. Dozier
Umm. Wheel well to wheel well is like 42 inches and as high as I would like to go up with the box is about 30 inches. The depth from the hatch to rear seats is about 30 inches. I have two XXX 12's and two Us Amps AX3000DE amplifiers. I will run probably rms around 1,500-2,000 daily to both meaning about 3-4,000 total daily. www.AlabamaDrift.com04 Silverado in the works

Dozier
My problem is I do not know what dimensions to build the box. I do not know what size for the port. I want to do a slot rectangular port, but don't know how to get the size I want. Greg at US Amps said to do a 36hz tune and 6 cubes. He gave the good info I needed. But he was unclear on how to build the box. I just need someone to help me get the dimensions I need to build the box and port. Thanks. www.AlabamaDrift.com04 Silverado in the works
