sundownz Posted March 11, 2012 Report Share Posted March 11, 2012 Been here all weekend with customers and whatnot anyway... so decided to drop one in the Jeep real quick. The Jeep hasn't had much love lately and I was using it to haul scrap metal for a while (hence the wooden truck bed) but I decided to break it back out. One 4500D @ 1 ohm with one extra SPV-70 for battery. My box has a pretty high rise so probably seeing 3-4 ohms or so actual on the amp so not a ridiculous amount of juice yet. Sub still has a good bit of usable throw remaining. So I guess the next phase is to actually put in a more usable battery setup for multiple amps and use two amps at 0.5 ohm to get the sub to full stroke. Not sure yet if that will get done today as I've been at the shop way too much recently, haha. I think 150+ is do-able with it. I do agree with you though, the e looks nice. As far as stamped frames go it's very strong and very functional clearance-wise but not tough enough for our bigger motors.
