skittlesRgood
Yes I am positive it's wired to 1 ohm. Rear speakers are still in, its a daily driver so I dont wanna take them out. I'm not trying to win comps but I wanna know why my stuff is hitting so soft. you wont miss those speakers. ill bet they sound like ass anyways. I'll bet your wrong. They are infinity reference and actually sound pretty damn good. your arguement is that you have $50 coaxials? i bet they sound like ass lol. im really not trying to be a dick, i just found that funny. but the pressure from the subs will make those speakers distort. doesnt matter what they are. i gave two other options though. the 1st one was the most important. If I answered you in a well mannered, informative way, you asked a good question or had a good attitude. If I was an asshole, you asked a stupid question or you had a fucktard attitude... or I was in a bad mood. Sheena
at full tilt you probably cant hear the back speakers anyways. face the box forward, keep it pushed all the way back against the trunk lid, go stand at the back of your car with your system on at a safe listening level and see if your trunk lid is leaking pressure. one thing that is really undervalued is sound deadening and fortifying the hell out of your trunk to keep it from leaking. 09 Civic EX KDC-X395 (2) SKAR Audio VVX-12 Skar Audio SK-1500.1 4 cu ft @32 (new box and more port soon) Firing Forward not sealed off Stock 80 Amp Alt Big 3 In 1/0 Knu 2 Runs To The Back 1 Pos 1 Neg In 1/0 Knu DD-1'd 13.8v drop
Omega5002
Yeah, facing the box forward, and sealing it off from the trunk, that helps alot in db gains. Also check the tuning of your box, cause maybe your box is tuned too high. I had a junk prefab tuned too high, and I felt like the sub was just moving stuff, but I wasn't getting that hard hitting feeling people usually get. 2003 Kia Sorento Team Subsonic LowsTeam Bassin' on a Budget2016 Rebuild Under Construction Best score: 150.2 at 40hz (3k, 2 Custom HDC3 15's) Usaci style(door open, in the kick)

IKnowImLost224
i am having frustrations with my system too. but mostly in aesthetics. lol... try facing the sub/port into the car and pull it as far back to the hatch as possible. Then fold the seats down. should help. I will try that as soon as I can get someone to give me a hand in the next couple days and see if that helps

I'm not saying they are the best on the market, also weren't $50 as I see your running 6.5" Pioneer rears... Dont think they cost much more... Also not all about trying to argue on here. Just trying to get some help and didn't see how taking out the rear speakers was going to help me.

SQMonte
Hmm, 2 sets of 4ga. running over 3k rms. That right there seems like a problem in and of itself. What is the specs on that box you built, the second one. Is the sub firing directly into the port or does the port wall extend to behind the motor of the sub? Like others have said, I think the box is too close to the trunk wall too. I think you want it to be at least as far away from the trunk wall as the port is wide....so if your port is 4" wide then you want the box at least 4" from the trunk wall, for example.
