I'm about to give up on car audio!!!

Hmm, 2 sets of 4ga. running over 3k rms. That right there seems like a problem in and of itself. What is the specs on that box you built, the second one. Is the sub firing directly into the port or does the port wall extend to behind the motor of the sub? Like others have said, I think the box is too close to the trunk wall too. I think you want it to be at least as far away from the trunk wall as the port is wide....so if your port is 4" wide then you want the box at least 4" from the trunk wall, for example.
REXXXTorres.png Thats what I built the box to. I don't have much more room to push it back because of amp/battery/cap/dist blocks.

I agree, wiring could be a problem. Wheres your ground at broski, to the frame right?

I honestly.. just think the ports having to much backfire being as close as it is.. put your seats down, put them on the seats see it's THAT big of a difference. I understand there will be because seats are down but at least you could play it where ti's at.. seats down. then move it on the seats with seats down.. sorry if that's confusing haha. Try it once with seats down where it's at. Then seats down and back the box up.

Yes I am positive it's wired to 1 ohm. Rear speakers are still in, its a daily driver so I dont wanna take them out. I'm not trying to win comps but I wanna know why my stuff is hitting so soft.

you wont miss those speakers. ill bet they sound like ass anyways.

I'll bet your wrong. They are infinity reference and actually sound pretty damn good.

your arguement is that you have $50 coaxials? i bet they sound like ass lol. im really not trying to be a dick, i just found that funny. but the pressure from the subs will make those speakers distort. doesnt matter what they are.

i gave two other options though. the 1st one was the most important.

I'm not saying they are the best on the market, also weren't $50 as I see your running 6.5" Pioneer rears... Dont think they cost much more...

Also not all about trying to argue on here. Just trying to get some help and didn't see how taking out the rear speakers was going to help me.

those speakers have not seen power for about 2 years. they are also not in a rear deck. im not trying to argue or piss you off either. just helping.

If I answered you in a well mannered, informative way, you asked a good question or had a good attitude. If I was an asshole, you asked a stupid question or you had a fucktard attitude... or I was in a bad mood.

That reminds me of something I meant to add... When I bought the sub I still had my power acoustik BAMF 4000/1, yes I know it was wayyyyyyy over rated but it should have been able to do at least like 1200-1400 rms at 1 ohm? Anyways, when I bought the XXX the guy had it hooked up to a Directed 1100d which is 1100 rms. Well that Directed pounded the XXX. The box it was in wouldn't fit in my trunk so I put it in my back seat for the ride home, even in my back seat standing outside the car it didn't even sound like the sub was hooked up

sometimes the pioneer headunits sound better when the sub output is raised all the way but you would need to set the gain again with the dd1 if you change it

I feel like sub output up and loudness on is the only way to get something out of the sub lol

try trading the amps and wires and putting the sub box there. When i had a trunk car, i tried many different things, and the thing that worked with me is a box that fit in between the wheel wells and fired reverse towards the back like yours is (my rear seats don't fold down, and my rear speakers are in sealed enclosures. I think it is the placement of the box mostly. It could also be perception, My stereo sounded louder with no amp for my mids/highs, but now that i have one, the setup seems less bassy.
