soundstream15 Posted March 17, 2012 Report Posted March 17, 2012 i currently have the kenwood kdc-mp342u, it is 2volts..i never had a 4volt HU before but is there actually a difference? does it make ur system louder or just allows you to had more amps?
ChevyBoy95 Posted March 17, 2012 Report Posted March 17, 2012 neither. you just dont have to turn the amplifiers gain up as much to reach full potential. but preout voltage isnt linear so, unless you will use the max volume, you probably wont see 4v. Yes preout voltage matters, but it isnt a major issue to the average joe. as far as what else it might effect, i dont know. In this case if youre running a stock system with sub dont worry about it. when you upgrade so should your power, in this case ur preout Scion tC SQ BuildiPad mini, lots of fabrication, daily drivenFord Explorer C Pillar Wall Build Just a cheap car to destroy with bass
