Ok well I just took out my kickers n but in my 2 sa 8 and when I was hooking it up my dumbass forgot to unhook the ground wire so my pos hit the car and it sparked and the I thought I was all cool till I looked at my voltmeter and it said 11.3 when cars off n 13.0 when it's on but if i take off the remote to my amp n ground n pos it reads 14.5. But I said f it I just hooked the subs up and now when they r playing I try turn it up and it pounds for a lil bit and there goes the amp it went into protection but it turns right back on!!?? Need help bad:(

What volt meter? Most have some sort of means of calibration in them

And what did you arc the positive against?

I have a stinger volt meter and it was reading fine before and my battery is in where my spare tire would be at so it hit the metal and I have 2 kinetic hc 2000 one for the car n one for the secondary

This should help you. As for your volt meter, can't you just re-calibrate it?

so you unhooked the subs, and the + speaker wire touched the car?

since you forgot to unhook the ground from the batts, there were sparks?
