Posted March 29, 2012 Report Share Posted March 29, 2012 i'm guessin you are grounded in or around same area the pos wire hit body, and if so that meens you sent power into the amp by way of ground, not sure but thats not good.............could have discharged your amp and poss. messed up cap's in it ..........just a guess....... If so it sounds like either your amp has a problem or possibly your headunit. Do you have another amp you could swap in? Grounding out the positive on a battery doesnt do anything to the battery but it screws up anything in between. I have done this before and it was my amp that was jacked up.
