2x- sounds like amp...............

i'm guessin you are grounded in or around same area the pos wire hit body, and if so that meens you sent power into the amp by way of ground, not sure but thats not good.............could have discharged your amp and poss. messed up cap's in it ..........just a guess.......

Personaly, i wouldn't run two diff sub's, but they are the same size atleast.... you could pull spec's for both and see how close or far-off they are......let me know how it turns out.........

What Amp. are you going to run on them?

The v.2 is an upgrade for the v.1 ... better parts.....i think the box is key, you can put the best subs in a shitty box and sound, well like shitty, your box looks right for either and both will work,so the v.2 will give u more durability, as for sound i think they will be the same.........................
