Those and fiberglass work well. At one point, I even bolted MDF to the flat spots and filled in the seams with adhesive silicone or foam.

Mock up an extended baffle with cardboard, trace and cut on mdf, secure to box.

Fill in the rest of the gaps with expanding foam / fiberglass if need be

Could but that would be too much work for this crappy pre-fabricated box. Maybe i should go ahead and build the box for my new system but just run the current subwoofers in its place till the RE xxx's come. xD

Don't even bother until you have a proper box. It makes all the difference and you wouldn't want to go through the same thing twice would you? ;)

God no lol. Ok building a box it is then. Wonder how the SXX 12's are gonna like 6 cu. ft each though O.o
