jbiddle.com Posted March 28, 2012 Report Share Posted March 28, 2012 so i ran into a little problem with my new system andi want some advice before i purchase. so i wanna run all jbl stuff i want to get two of there 12" GTI MK II subs which have dual 6 ohm voice coils gonna run in parallel so its gonna be a 1.5 ohm ending load. i was going to run a JBL Gto 1400.1 amp but all the websites say they are only stable to 2 ohms. did jbl take this into consideration when makeing these dual 6 ohm subs will the amps handle the 1.5 ohm load?? any advice would be greatly appreciated Quote Head Unit -- Alpine CDA-9887 Mids and highs -- 2 Crescendo PWX-8's 4 Crescendo PWX-6's 4 Crescendo FT-1 Super tweeters Mids and Highs amps -- 2 Alpine V12 MRV-F545 Subs -- TBD Sub amp -- Crescendo Bass Cleff BC2000. notorious97200 Posted March 28, 2012 Report Share Posted March 28, 2012 The JBL 2400.1 is a huge beast ! At 6 Ohms, your subs will love it for sure. If you can find a JBL bpx series, get one. Quote black BMW X1 2.0 l 192 hp OEM head unit, Amplifiers : Audison AP 8.9 amp with integrated DSP and Ampere Audio 1200. Focal ES 100 K in front doors, and Dayton RS 180 for midbass under the front seats. 2 SSA DEMONS 10" subs, in a 2.6 ft3 ported box.
