Over powering..

Recommended Posts

So i have a trouble code light on my amp. Orion HCCA 2500.1. And its saying I'm basically giving it too much voltage. I have a 300 amp fuse which I intend to switch to a 250 to handle this issue. So my question here is.. "can over powering the amp cause distortion? Even at low gain? And after my fuse swap can I expect a cleaner output for a higher gain setting?"

Fuse has nothing to do with amp seeing to much voltage.. Fuse pops when amp draws to many amps.

I have no experience with those amps, check your input voltage with a DMM

And see what it is. Like said before a smaller fuse will not lower your voltage
