Jessica
Well, actually. i think my very first system was in my brothers car using a pair home stereo boxes that used 8" woofers and it was running off the head unit power. I mean like 15 watts tops and i only did it because he actually had a system in his car. He had maybe 8 speakers plus 2 subs and was running 3 amps and a decent head unit. But then again I was 14 and had no money. lol Rest in peace, walled 87 accord build log 03' Corolla build with AA Mayhem inside. My super random youtube channel and terrible camera work. Slobalt7
I didn't own a vehicle until I was 18 but when by the time I was 14 I had what I thought would be a banging system. My mom's 86 Grand Prix had a good head but the world's worst speakers so my friend Tommy and I threw my "system" in there since I was supposed to get the car when I got my license. My system consisted of a pair of Audiobahn 12's in an Audiobahn box, a Kenwood amp, front speakers out of a karaoke machine, and the rears were some freestanding mids from a Pioneer home theatre. We didn't know shit about car audio at the time and ran 10G CCA directly off the batt. to the amp which several days later caused a small fire in the trunk(fortunately only about a square foot of carpet was burnt) and was promptly and forcefully requested for it to be removed via my mother. I miss those days... Yeah, it's slower than your bowel movements.
