TheNewbie
Well fellers, my Uncle is a die hard for JL, hes got a W3V3 12'' in a prefab sealed box. He likes the SQ from it, I was trying to explain to him a ported can sound as good, or better than a sealed.. but wasn't exactly sure the reason behind it so I figure. Why not build him one. If he doesn't like it he can always switch it again. Was wondering whatcha guys think of these specs? They ask for a 1.75 cubed ported box. I overcompensated a little bit for depth being it's a ranger.. older year. Didn't know exact dimentions. Anyways heres the Torres thanks. EDIT: They do have ported box dimentions on there site, odd numbers.. rather not that's why I'm trying another box. Also the box they made is tuned to 30 hertz, so not to worried about the freq of it. TheNewbie
They recommend a box on there site, deals with odd numbers, not really up for that right now.. it's tuned to 30 hertz, so I'm sure 31 won't be a problem. I am sticking with just a regular box bread only because it's not my sub. I would like to keep it simple here as far as specs everything look purty? Joe X
That's alright, the port parts length would be: L Port Internal Assembly Parts: Front to Back = 9 x 12 1/2 Extension = 18 1/2 x 12 1/
myn
That program is step 2 in the design process. Step 1 is using a WinISD, BassBox Pro, etc mocking up a decent response.
