HotRodHam Posted April 19, 2012 Report Posted April 19, 2012 my sister bought 6.5" for her 03 grand prix n the doors are only 5 1/4" just thoought id share so unless ur doing custom doors or a little cutting they wont fit. that headunit looks like its a beast outputs: 8-channel preamp outputs (5-volt highs, mids, lows, subwoofer) 31-band equalizer with independent right and left channel adjustments never seen either of these above 2 on a cd player lol. 18" Sundown Zv4 D2JL 1000/1 V1XS Power D3200

Both are Modified and very strong ... I haven't really advertised them yet ... One is a stereo 2 channel ... and the other is a class A/B sub amp with a feedback circuit ... Audio-Concepts Posted April 19, 2012 Report Posted April 19, 2012 I would seriously consider running Linear Power for your amps, whether it be a modded or not, you will most likely have more depth and range with LP compared to the others. I would trust the competitors who use LP and win in competition, but make sure you consider placement thoroughly. You can have the best range on the planet, but if not placed at the right angle or position, your width and depth of you front stage will suffer. One thing I have noticed with SQ/SQL cars is sib tuning is LOOOOOW! I believe Cableguy is around 25-26 (???) So make sure the sub chosen is efficient to play that low. Efficiency and ability to play full range is a key factor. So I have learned. But other than that, good luck with build. It looks promising!
