hey guys i recently came up on 2 18" fi btl's for 600, the 1st gen. sooo i got a 01' jeep grand cherokee and im wondering whats a good size box for my truck. i dont need my trunk so i just need advice on whats a good size box for them, and what they should be tuned for. thank you for any help you can help with. also i have 2 soundstream rubi.2500 to power each sub

Go to Fi site and look at the tech info on the sub. That will be a good start. I think they recommend 12 sq in of port per cubic foot.

Idont really understand the port area thing. So it disnt mater hiw I tune the box as long as it gets the right amount of port area?

Can any bodyelse shine some light on my newb head?

Try to shoot for 12-13 cubes and 180-225 sq in of port.

Tune to 32-36 hz.

Are you going to be sticking with that power?

How long would a box like that taketo nuild? a friend is gona charge me 100 per hour to build it

A friend ???????????? lol. It should not take long. My box is 16 cubes and took about 4 hours , start to finish.
