RooTxBeeR
I've thought about that, but that's not what I want. Could get something larger too, 200.4 but I got a vision in mind Haha I get ya, I plan to run active with 2 120.4's, I think getting one of those for mids and then a 90.4 for tweets would be an amazing match. and a 200.4? vision? tweets? im confused! TeamHT
Exactly what I want, 120.4 on mids and the 90.4 on tweets. Nothing secret, just I have a vision for the finality of my build and I haven't wait so long that I'm ready to go with something else, lol. Not yet anyways Quote Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?
AMI CUSTOMS
I am doing 4 mids and 4 tweets wired at 2 ohms each pair which is 170 x 4 on the 120.4 so each is seeing 85 w, so my vision is same but with one amp lol Quote TEAM SOUNDQUBED -- TEAM SOUTH TEAM S.O.B. - Founder & Captain 3x Streetbeat World Record Holder 2017 MWSPL 1st place Mayhem & 4th Xtreme 4 2016 MWSPL 1st place Mayhem/2nd Adv 4/2nd Xtreme 4 2015 MWSPL 2nd place Mayhem & 4th Xtreme 4 2014 USACI 2nd place Streetbeat 5 - 162.6 db 2014 MWSPL 2nd place Xtreme 4 - 144.9 db 2013 USACI 1st place Streetbeat 4 - 161.9 db 2013 USACI 1st place Street Q+ - 162.8 db 2013 MWSPL 3rd Kaos2 & 4th Xtreme 4 2011 USACI 2nd place MOD 1001-2k - 160.0 db 2011 MWSPL 4th place: Adv3 - 157.8 db, Kaos2 - 150s db, Xtreme4 - 140s db 2010 ARSPL 1st place 501-750 - 160.3 db Arkansas loudest Best score to date 164.4 db - Termlab Outlaw Streetbeat 4 - 161.9 db Streetbeat 5 - 162.6 db MWSPL on Dash Legal door open (Music) - 162.5 db Sealed on dash Legal (Music) - 161.1 db - Termlab THE BLACK NASTY CURRENT BUILD & FAB The Black Nasty (6) 15 Rebuild Log 2012 (4) 15 Walled Sierra Build Log Evo X build log Facebook page The Black Nasty
TeamHT
Ha ha. I took out the center console and will be doing something with the front stage amps there. I'll probably be running similarly until I find a clean 90x4 Quote Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?
TeamHT
Total will be 8 mids and 4 tweeters. Quote Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?
RooTxBeeR
Total will be 8 mids and 4 tweeters. Now I get the reason for the 200.4, that should do some serious work. Also do you know if the 90.4 has bandpass cababilities? I know the 120.4 does and that's the main reason why I am choosing it to help me run active without having to get a sound prosessor. Haha I completely understand, just asking for me I was planing on adding some coax and wanted to know if adding them in parallel to another set would hurt my SQ
AMI CUSTOMS
Everytime you drop ohm load in half you drop damping control in half, that is the ability for the amp to control the driver, you also lower the efficiency of the amp, so for ultimate SQ you would want to still as high as possible ohm load wise. But will you notice a difference most likely not do to the fact it will be louder and harder to hear the difference.
