SkateMike519 Posted April 21, 2012 Report Posted April 21, 2012 I have everything set up now. All I need is a box. I would prefer prefab just because it would be easier. I want LOUD. I like SQ but would prefer it to be louder then a sealed box. So, with this in mind, Should I have a side port, or front port. Also would probably be going for a box around 3.5 cubes and would fire the subs to the rear of the car. They are going in a trunk btw. Any suggestions are appreciated. I should probably mention the subs are dual 2ohm and the amp is a hifonics brz2400.1 and will be wired to 2 ohm. 2 - Sundown Audio SA-12 D4 (Box tuned to 34 hrz) 1 - RF t1500.1bdcp 1 - RF t400.4 2 - JL Audio C5 5 1/4 in front doors 2 - JL Audio C5 570 in rear deck 2 - JL Audio ZR100 in front pillars 1 - Kenwood ExCelon HU

Joe X Posted April 21, 2012 Report Posted April 21, 2012 Prefabs are tuned the way they want (usually high) and built poorly in many cases, a rectangular box is easy to build, you can have the parts cut for you in office depot for example, most of the times port/subs in the same face firing backwards or frontwards is used. you will be pushing 850W per sub at 2 ohm which should be fine for them.
