whoever designed it failed then. while in the design stage he should have designed it correctly rather then needing 45s to take up space.

It was bracing. they serve the same purpose as a squared dowel. i'm not the first to do it either, if you look at some of RAM designs pictures, he's put 45's in the sealed side too. it doesn't do any harm to have a little extra bracing in there.

oh dont remind me of ram designs boxes lol using him as a defense is laughable.

but so far, without being able to tune the amp properly, this box is doing well!

Edit: obviously, the wiring will be all cleaned up. i was just anxious to hear this thing, so i made do with what i had around the house while i wait for my order from sonicelectronics to get here on friday.

well, thats just it. i wanted to have something to go by. i have a 3.5 cu ft box tuned at 34 iirc, and i tossed it in there so that i would know what it would sound like otherwise. so far...my impressions are that the ported box plays lower, and louder, but the bandpass does not get play as low, but plays higher notes better. overall, the ported box did sound a bit louder. but im trying not to make any judgements until i get the hole cut in the seats and the seats up. i think that will help me a lot.

also, i found out that the pos loc that i had in there was the reason that i had all the distortion. so i fixed that and now i have a clean signal and sound.

hold on, ill do the math on the box, but the port i know is 6.5 wide by 10.5 tall and 9 top depth and 13 bottom depth.

Also, my voltage doesnt budge at all. still havent done the big 3 or alternator, but i placed the order on the alt a week ago. think i should see if its too late to cancel and refund? im a little confused on how the hell im sustaining this amp with some random interstate battery up front and just the 2 bt-60s in the trunk with 2 runs of 1/0 gauge, and i dont even loose a tenth of a volt at idle.

what do you guys think about that^?
