SnowDrifter Posted April 27, 2012 Report Share Posted April 27, 2012 Problem: When I plug my phone into my charger and play music via an AUX cable, it makes a sound like static on a TV Other info: Does it when plugged into the charger only Doesn't do it when plugged into the deck via USB (but this charges slow as sin) Does it on multiple phones using multiple cables 2010 Jeep Wrangler w/ factory gps Ideas/fixes? larrys95civic Posted April 27, 2012 Report Share Posted April 27, 2012 No fixes, the battery chargers for most phones use crappy insulation and being so close to your aux cable it just causes interference. May try a better aux cable or just charge your phone before you use it. Even if I completely separate the 2 cables, it still makes the noise =/ And I get quite a bit of use out of my phone, so I kind of need a charger on top of nightly charging. Get a charger that plugs in and has a USB port in the back, use that since that doesn't make noise and use the AUX cable for the music, just a theory.
