liljestrand
I did a search and none of the threads with these keywords helped so. I have 2 bc5500's strapped atm. One of the threads said I should check both amps with the dd1. On the amps when you strap you do + speaker to + of one amp and - speaker to + of second amp. Then jump the -'s of both amps together. So when I check the second amp do I connect the dd1 to the - of the second amp since technically its the + or do I connect to the + of the second amp just like I would the first amp. If that all makes sense. thanks for the help in advance. ChevyBoy95
you dont connect to the - speaker terminal when using the dd-1. just the ground (chassis) and the speaker positive on the master amp iirc (because the other positive on the slave is essentially the negative). liljestrand
Well I know you dont use the ground on the dd1 on the speaker terminals. But someone mentioned checking the second amp also so basiaclly do I put the red probe in the + or - of the second amp since they are strapped. And would I leave the jumpw wire in the amp also. corona_jeff
When using the DD1 with strapped amps, all you use is the Master (+). and the chassis ground. As those control both amps. Theres no way to check the second amp unless you unstrap the pair
ineeDBass419
only reason to check both amps is if your matching the gains.no need when strapping them Quote xbox 360 gamertag-greenrocks420 Not insulting you or anything, but did you just call us "bloody winging fairies" ?
