Lets epoxy them to seal them shut! Tarball Posted April 12, 2013 Author Report Share Posted April 12, 2013 First i coated the threads of the eyelet liberally with anti-seize lube (permatex item #80078). I put a good gob of the stuff on the tip. Screwed them back into the base making sure to have a nice amount of lube still on the tip so the epoxy would stay separated (hopefully). Then I staged them inverted so they can be sealed. Next i did standard equal parts and mix mix mix...I used a syringe for delivery. Set out to dry. At this point I really hope the epoxy doesn't penetrate or mix with the lube and make the eyelet a permanent fixture in the base. Let's come back in a few hours and check. 3 hours should be full cured. I'll give it like half of a day. And a fiber washer on the top side for good measure.
