well considering the power your running i would hope so, its not really much voltage coming out of 1 2500.1 and a 4 channel, id be willing to bet a single 200amp alt would have been find for that, seems like they love 150amp alts to get people to spend more money on alts

they not getting me to spend more money . . . but that's me. Considering I'm not running 20000 watts and will only be running around 5500 maybe 6000 for my new build 3 150s seem fine. 2 200s I guess would be easier though. Any suggestions on brand?

that would be personal preference, people around here like Iraggi alternaors, people on other sites liek Excessive Amperage, they are all pretty hit or miss, one wont return calls or if you ever have a problem they take months and months to respond. Both peopel have got alts from and had issues with returns, so its whatever you feel more cofortable with. I've never had a DOA form EA, steve and others here have never had problems with Dom.

Nice setup man. I have seen all your videos on youtube. I got two 15 L7s but your setup is definately much more expensive than mine. Yeah, I wouldn't mess with the Solo x's yet. Wait till Kicker fixes the problem with the voice coils.

I talked to the kicker reps and they basically told me not to get the solo xs. Since my new tahoe build was going to be a daily driver/spl competitor, they told me the L7 15s (4) would be best because the solo xs (i wanted 4 12s) overheat and the cones melt. I do a lot of driving and my l7s heat up a good bit now. I don't want to have to deal with a sub heatin problem. Did you see that problem with yours?

Well there for SPL not made for everyday bass boxing, i had to reverse the sub it was getting to hot inside the box! But it still banged though 1.5k is alot of power just for 1 sub anyone should know that and for 2 with 4k thats even more i recon i could have a serious overheating problem there. Youve proberly gone for sensible option i wanted 4 L7 15s i wish i did go through that option but dont get me wrong they are really good to have in your trunk.

Yea the imaging is off because of the highs behind my head. It sounds really nice though and doesn't affect the quality too much. I was just going for shear loudness. I listen to the music with the bass crankin constantly and I like to hear the lyrics while the bass is hittin

Do you have your front speakers wire to 2 ohms? That helped the imaging on my system quite a bit. I'm with you on hearing the lyrics.....

id speak to Polecat (works at kicker )before assumeing that, theres alot of people running them daily with no problems whatsoever.

Well, a few weeks ago I got into a 4 car wreck. The box that the 6x9s snapped the screws holding it to the big box on impact and slid across the top of my sub box scraping it all to shit. I recently got it fixed and have a few pics.

I also just ordered some cathode tubes, I'll post pics when I get them installed.
