Chaosgrunt
Hey fellas. Im a little ticked right now. I just picked up a eclipse xa1000 and it has a clipping LED on the amp. I tuned the amp with the DD-1 @ -5db and was clipping like a mofo. If the DD-1 cant even detect clipping why did i even buy it? Idk, maybe the amp is wrong, but it almost fried a subwoofer because of it. Anyone care to explain whats going on? Hopefully its my fault and can be fixed because if not, looks like ill just buy an o-scope and see if i can return the dd-1....
HunterJohnson
your prob not using the dd-1 correctly plug in RCA and plug into ground and turn on 40hz CD that the dd-1 came with make sure it registers the frequency then turn ur gain to match 0 distortion. HunterJohnson
also one thing was weird we found out using the dd-1 is that the bass knob control actually induced clipped when turned up quickly or down quickly. Toby Ratcliffe
It is impossible for the DD-1 to cause clipping. It reads the signal. It doesn't create it.
