boostin302
im going to be purchasing 2 hifoinics brutus amps 2400 @ 1 ohm this weekend and running them on 2 treo 12 inch SSX. i notice on the amps theres a master and slave and from what i understand is they can be strapped to each other. my question tho is im going to be running one amp per sub and was wondering how the wiring goes for that. im mainly talking about the RCA cables. also installing a kenwood double din 318 deck if u need that info. thanks for your help and have a wonderful afternoon/evening Joshua My build log http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/143943-2001-mustang-gt-system-rebuild-box-build-pics-updated-61512/ 2001 Ford Mustang GT 4.6 SOHC 380HP 270 amp Mechman alt 2 12" Treo SSX custom built. 6.47 cu ft, tuned to 32Hz 2 hifonics Brutus 2400.1, strapped 1 optima yellow top 1 Kinetic HC1800 14.4v @ 29Hz, 2k RPM over 100ft 1/0 XS flex wire Big 3 in 1/0 100sq ft fatmat deadener 145.3 on music, 142.6 sealed on music Stop being a pussy and wall it off. MrSkippyJ
so are you going to master/slave the amps or not? if you are, then you aren't running one sub per amp. vibrator
depends if yours is the dual 1 ohm or dual 2 ohm. audio1der
The Brutus amps (the bigger ones, at least) have seperate outputs from the master/slave RCA in/out. Use the RCA preamp output of your HU to the input of the 1st amp. RCA the regular output of the first amp to the input of the second amp. If, for whatever reason the ones you pick up don't have the output which isn't master/slave, just split the RCA output of the HU right before the first amp. Doing this doesn't lower the input voltage into either of the amps, it just raises the impedance a little.
