Go to the what frequency it that song thread located here

http://www.stevemead...y-is-this-song/

and find all the songs that play in your range. Then take a listen to them in the car to find out which ones perform the best followed by testing each one on the term-lab.

For me the song that has consistently done the best for me is Danity Kane -Show Stopper

what format are you running

well i new to competing my self so idk at the moment. But the reason why i ask id because there is a local show this upcoming weekend and i think it would be fun to enter for the sake of entering. my new car has never been on the meter so its really a crap shoot but the way the ruling goes at this show is same size and same # of woofers under 4k and same size same # over 4k

So i would be in the 1 15" under 4k class

Well you really wont know until you get on the meter and run a sweep to find the peak of your vehicle. Until then you will have to go based on what songs play the loudest to ear. Definitely make sure you run a sweep your first time. If they allow tones then take you a tone CD so after you find your peak you can just play a tone on your second run to get the best score possible.

Alright will do. and with these local comps do you have to have the original cd or are burnt cds allowed. maby that's something i should ask.

i can send you a few sinewaves if you want, but like my boy hotdog said, impossible to know without metereing what your peak is in order to choose a song, you could also use your "ear-meter" , what songs are louder to your ears with your current setup? we could help you out a little bit more with that info

I´m the SPL Gains topic creator!! wanna get louder?? check this: SPL Gains. Panamenian 2009 & 2010 & 2014 Bass Race 149.9 Champion!
