Akslowroller Posted May 15, 2012 Report Posted May 15, 2012 I have 4 Rockford T2 15's. Two are 2 ohm and two are 4 ohm. I am wanting to run all four in a fourth order box an I am concerned because the qts are slightly different. I can wire the two 4ohm subs to run at 2 ohms. But I don't really know what problems could arise. Any help would be appreciated.
blkgp_03 Posted May 15, 2012 Report Posted May 15, 2012 Never mix different coils together on 1 amp. Now if you run 2 amps. 1 amp for the dual 2 subs and 1 for the dual 4 that would alright. Any time you have have a power wire next to your frame put some rubber hosing (or cut up an innertube) around it. The wire is bound to wiggle (due to driving or flex) and the casing will eventually wear through. Hammerdown... 1% no links to outside websites, business related FB/YT pages allowed.
BobbyG2 Posted May 15, 2012 Report Posted May 15, 2012 You'd need the same amount of power going to each individual woofer. You'd need at least 2 amps to do this. These amps claim to do the same power at 1 ohm as they do at 2.
