TylerParrish
Is it okay if i take my rear speakers out of my rear deck and cover the holes up it creates and get a decent set of components up front, or just keep the rear and get 2 way or 3 way speakers all around? what would be more cost-efficient? bassrace
I have only a front stage and love it. I have no rear fill what so ever. Imo there's no need for rear fill unless you really care about passengers in the rear. But if you go that route get a good front stage. Edit: yes you can cover the holes were the speakers are in the back deck, if you take them out Edited May 21, 2012 by bassrace Quote 145.9@40hz 145.3@34hz big 3 X2 group 34 Deka Group 31 All 0/1 awg jl meta wire Alpine CDA 7894 Orion HCCA D5000 2 AQ HDC312's Crunch gpv1100.2 (for 6.5"s only) AQ pro audio 6.5" - 3 sets AQ supertweeters - 2 sets 2000 Slamry

I covered my rear speaker openings with damp pro when I covered the whole rear deck. Quote SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread

SQMonte
I run fronts only....I left my rear speaker openings uncovered, it allows more bass into the cabin (rears were in the rear deck). Colin - STAPUFT
2 different schools of thought on the whole rear fill thing. Just depends- I also only have speakers in the front, but I have had matching sets at all corners before. Every time, I end up liking the front only better. If you want more volume, you can plug your back speakers off (like you were saying) and run a component set up front off of your front speaker output. I'm assuming you are using just the Head Unit? If so, why not run some extra tweeters or mids in the kicks up front off the power for the rear speakers. Then you can still fade them out (less or more added tweet/mid/whatever)? Just a thought...
