That is how it appears, he also has some forum sections on a couple sites promoting that site, with many posted threads of that misleading video.

From a a reps stand point, I would be unhappy that pretty much anyone running DD audio subwoofers will not even consider buying a Sundown amp to power them.

Thats a loss of biz for you sir. And his made up facts he states in the video about the DD sub, how it responds with the supercharger ect....

I have a supercharged DD and it does nothing in any way of how he describes it reacts to the supercharger feature. And in no way "sounds weird" if this was the case, DD would have never produced the driver to begin with. I have never heard any DD sub series "sound weird."

He might brain wash a few novice car audio enthusiasts, but in the long run, who is leading the industry, and who continues to create innovations copied by all others.

Theres a reason I ditched DD woofers, and used them for a long time, I miss them, but the price point compared to the constantly weakening build quality just makes it sad...

Edit: I mean the uneven amount of glue around the triple joint alone is a major failure point. Dont care what brand you like or hate, but I wouldnt want to buy a woofer that is built so sloppy, only to have it reconed over and over and over, with poor quality. "oh snap I have" and probably the reason I got into doing recones myself, because than if the glue joint fails its my fault. haha

In the video he claims the box he had it in was suggested by DD

Where his other arguing points showed he spent 150 hours on that box for the sundown , and did a direct swap with the DD.

First of all, thats not the same woofer.

Second of all, its still a china basket. Farther more, DD is a bit deceiving as they say on their site "All moving parts are American made" and on another page they claim "Made in America subwoofers" if only the moving parts are mad in usa, than the rest are made where? China???, but than you look on a model below the 2500, and it says all usa with american made parts and vendors.. Which is it, american made or not? we already know just about ever basket is mass produced in china, and I think the only baskets made in the usa are the TI style baskets designed by Thilo used on T3, TC, and now the SMD, SP4, however theres knock off china baskets of those too.

Third, the glue joints are still sloppy around the landing. but who cares because thats not seen, at least the dust cap glue is pretty right!!

PS: The shop I use to work at is a DD dealer, as well as I had a lot of DD product myself, and left to the build quality going down the drain.

Still wont buy them as I am loyal to my companies and believe they make equal quality products. I can appreciate repping a company you sell for but the bashing of other companies isn't needed, If you Dont like the way they are built thats fine. Don't buy them. It seems the enrgey and time wasted on a few of his vids could have been spent more wisely on his own set up or takeing some business managment classes. Just sayin.

Read the earlier posts, that is not DD's build quality, I posted above build quality pics of the sub I bought from them 2 months ago, its not the same series of woofer, but series of woofer will not determine how well its assembled. My friend has a sundown SA8 and there is lliterally glue all over the basket and everywhere else, yes he bought it like that, from what I would have to guess a bad recone job,

but if I wanted to be like this dude I could post a video of the build quality on that sub, leaving out all variables, not tell anyone it was reconed, say "sundown audio" with a whisp, spend 150 hours on a box for the DD 2508SC, then drop in the SA8 in that box and show how its not as loud as the DD because 150 hours of the trial and error fine tuning was applied to the physics of the 2508SC and not the SA8 therefore the SA8 cannot perform at its maximum potential. Then tell everyone that was the box sundown audio suggested. when really it was a direct swap from a box made specificly for aan entirely different sub.

I learned all of these facts browsing his youtube comments, and with responses from him on his youtube channel.

That video leaves out all variables, and states false information,

"Response can vary by box right? blame DD its what they suggested" quote on the video, when in later comments I am told that box was built specificaly for the SA8 and 150 horus of work went into it, so was in no way a DD suggested box. He even commented back to me that he never said DD reccomended the box, he must have forgotten that false statement he put in the video.

How long until sundown audio hardwires 8 guage direct into the nightshade, or other subs

How long until sundown audio starts using neo in some way shape or form on any of the subs.

The wait continues. But I have a feeling these upgrades will be coming soon.

Then he will make a video showing how much nicer his hardwire is glued into place over the DD. lol

Funny how he takes hearsay from other people and makes that a "fact" that he then disproves. "I have seen people mention that, they say that DD tooled this basket just for this driver". So now that becomes a fact that DD has claimed? Also funny how the video starts with that the motor is very weak, and later on the basket is too weak for such a strong motor design.

Whoa there purplesyrup, I dont beleive that is DDs quality work either (in the video) , and judgeing from this guys vids He will go WAY out of his way to trash anything but sundown, Im a Huge fan Of DD woofers, They have just always been out of my price range so I never used them, And wont buy the entry level subs As I can get better drivers (IMO) for the same or less money. As far as sundown is concerned its not that I think they are bad I just wont use them for the fact that ALOT of people do. And I like the brands that I carry and use. DD subs are great and have never dissapointed me, Any Sundown Ive heard has been great. After watching him destroy other woofers for the sake of makeing other companies look bad I beleive he thinks Sundown is the ONLY brand of woofer that is any good. Just my $0.02 on that. Dont need a big flame about it. So I do agree with you that, the sub he had had either been poorly reconed or altered or dressed up to look bad. I know DD is not that sloppy. Hell legacy subs aren't that sloppy. Point is he posts some bull comparison vids that I know ALOT of us don't agree with. But just like mine, he is entiltled to his own opinion and only makes himself look bad.
