copper nuts and bolts

Recommended Posts

Anyone ever found copper nuts and bolts? I'm trying to figure out the best way to connect a direct connect sub to an amp through the enclosure. I was thinking about running 4 nuts and bolts through, connecting the sub inside the box, then being able to connect the amp to the outside of the sub box, any thoughts or opinions on this will be greatly appreciated. The main goal is to not loose any power.

Zinc is barely more conductive but pure zinc not plated, pure brass is better solution IMO, look at stinger ANL fuse holders, the studs are brass.

brass is very corrosion resistent thats why its used so much...i actually had brass bolts going through my box a few months back..but i deleted them and just drilled holes and ran straight wires,,using average power i dont think you will see a difference either way.

I noticed that about the Stinger stuff, they do use brass.

But I also noticed that Kinetik and XS Power supplies stainless hardware with their batts.

So this had me wondering the same thing... Which is better?
