2 15's or 2 18's in a 4.4ft^3 net box

So basically I'm choking them and they can't vent correctly therefore they won't sound optimized

8x sa8v2 =402" of cone and this fits easily into 4.4net

2x 15= 353"

2x 18= 508" will never fit in 4.4

Yeah I kno the 18's won't

And 8 8's is just a ton of money. That's like 1450 in subs, the skar 15's say 2.2 per sub vented so I might be able to slip those in

if full the yes 2.2 you will get away with, but whether you will be happy with the out come i dont no

ive ran many 15's in low 2cuft but i use aero ports to keep the net up and give it full/+20%more power

It seems to me, that you get all sorts of suggestions on here for what to do and why. You then hear what you want and make your decision anyway. You were told about your current box that a 3" aero wouldn't give the best output, yet you still chose to go with it. You ALSO said it sounds just fine. You can't imagine the output and sound you're losing, had you built the box properly in the first place. This thread is turning into the same thing.

Subwoofers need airspace to breathe, ESPECIALLY the big ones. They need air to perform, and to cool. All of the information in the world will not prevent you from being stubborn and throwing 10lbs of shit in a 5 lb. bag. You DO not have the room to get the most out of 2 15s or 1 18" even. Please listen to this advice before hearing what you want to hear and proceeding stubbornly.

Download a modeling program or even the spreadsheet from diysubwoofers.org

Input the t/s parameters for your 12" and the 15" of the same model in 4.4 cuft tuned to whatever and look at the output results. You will then see why it is not a good idea. This is also a decent way to predict different subs output response vs. what you have now.

Too small of an enclosure normally ends up with a higher F3 frequency and a large peak right above tuning.

You need more power to obtain the same output as you would get in a larger box, but more power does not change the frequency response unless you are adding EQ.

Fair enough reply, had I known about 4 inch aero ports would be needed on a 10" I would have got one. I had alrdy ordered it and I couldn't return it, and it sounds fine. Idk why ur bringing that up?

Yeah I wanna get a concensious bc I go out and buy 2 15's that don't work lol, and I listen 90% of the time when people who kno what they're talkin about

Edit: nvm I get what u mean about not knowing what it would be like with a 4 inch aero. It sounds fine now but would be louder/better with a 4"

Would have made more sense saying it'll maximize performance with a 4 rather than people saying it'll make port noise with a 3"
