carlosg_313
I have the 15in with the level 5 coils and I have to say that it is a good sub music. Tuning it at 34hz will be good to have a feel for teh lows. That is how I had my boxes for the level 4, 5, and 6, and I can play pretty much everything. If you only getting the level 4 with original level 4 parts, get a 1k-1.5k amp because with more power, they will bottom out (depending how many spiders DC will put, I'm having that issue with the level 4 I have with a kicker zx2500.1 lol). With the 18, box tuned to 34hz and pushing it with a 1k-1.5k, you will not be disappointed. Quote How do the Japanese feel about bass? You know that since 03/11/11 Progene? I just saw that stuff on CNN. They said it makes your junk shrink all up. lol.im pretty sure the op wont even notice if it gets even smaller. KiKaZz74
For amp try hifonics brz 1200 or 1700. Got a 1700 pushing my fully loaded fi bl 18 @ 1 ohm. It is a good amp so far. KiKaZz74
Whats it rated rms and what options u getting? Mine could easily handle another 2-400 watts not even moving yet on 1.7k but it is stiff as hell Quote My SPL to SQ Build Log Vehicle:1997 Dodge Dakota Ext Cab 4x4 2009 Dodge Journey SXT5.2L V8 Magnum 3.5L V6 Stock AltEquipment: Headunit- Alpine CDE-147BT Mids/Highs Amp- JL Audio G6600 Class AB 6 Channel Sub Amp- Hifonics BRZ1700.1D @ 2 Ohms Taramps DSP3000.1D Sub- Hertz Hi Energy 12" HX300D SounDrive SDA3 12 Tweeters- Rockford Fosgate Power Series Silk Domes Hertz Hi-Energy Mids- Dayton Audio Reference 4" Full Range Drivers Midbass- Silver Flute 6.5" Hertz Hi-Energy 6.5" Processor- MiniDSP 2x4 RCA- 6 channels of SounDrive HF series Wire- EB Flex 2/0 -Member of Team SounDrive
carlosg_313
So if I put 1.4k-1.5k on it itl bang? And I'll check those amps out It's all in the box. You can put 20k rms on a sub, it is how you build the box. But to answer your question, it will, IF you make the box right. velvetsmack
acCording to the dc website it says 1400 rms. Also I would get ahold of a reinforced box probably 6cuft like reccomended and have it tuned to like low 30s Also I don't have a shop nearby but I did find a dealer so I'm going to talk to him. I didn't even know about options for it the site had none but ill talk to the dealer about it. Probably some cooling of some sorts and whatever else

velvetsmack
Don't alot of people say that hifonics seriously overrates their amps? People on another thread said a 1700 would be luucky to give you 500 Idk from personal experience I haven't dealt with hifonics
