badasschevy Posted May 27, 2012 Report Posted May 27, 2012 its time to rebuild the center console for my 98 chevy single cab, it will house a lvl 4 12. it will be 1.75 cu ft tuned to 36htz with a 4" psp port. the power is still undecided as of now. im just wondering about potential issues with either one.i just got home from buying wood,so i'm ready to start building. option 1 will be sub down and port firing towards the cab. option 2 sub down and port up. center console: lvl 4 12 1.75 cu ft tuned 37htz alpine cda-9886 dc audio 120.4 infinity kappa 6.5" components

badasschevy Posted June 3, 2012 Author Report Posted June 3, 2012 so im doing port up,and decided to do a slot port instead. i couldnt get the airspace down enough for the aero port without the console looking odd. now my question is.do i do a l-port or do i stagger the port walls?the sub is mounted 3.5" off the floor. the port area is 30 sq in. port dim. are 2.5x12x 28,and the console is 1.75 cu ft after displacements. center console: lvl 4 12 1.75 cu ft tuned 37htz alpine cda-9886 dc audio 120.4 infinity kappa 6.5" components
